These nets are very effective for trapping practically anything that swims, from minnows to muskies. The greatest advantage of the fyke net is that it catches fish alive and unharmed. This is essential for most fish raising or census taking operations. In most situations, we recommend knotless netting rather than knotted netting because of its lower abrasion on fish. To meet the needs of our customers, we have designed and built many custom nets. We recognize that different netting situations have different requirements to successfully catch fish.
